Vacation Workout Roundup

Sticking to any kind of routine AND/OR staying active on vacation can sometimes feel impossible. The key to success is to plan your workouts and activities ahead of time so you can get in a good sweat before enjoying the rest of your day.

No, I was not on some tropical vacation, but I was out of my routine back in my hometown with a VERY packed schedule for 10 days so had to schedule in my active time. I didn't stick to my original plan I made before leaving and took 3 days off because #lifehappens.

Here's a little sneak peek for ya to take with you on your next big trip-

Vacation Workout Roundup

Day 1: HIIT Partner Workout downtown with my BFF

  • ~1.5 Mile Run

3 Minute EMOMs with stair circuit between each

  • 1 EMOM: 10 Burpees

  • 2 EMOM: 20 Tuck Jumps

  • 3 EMOM: 50 Mountain Climbers

Stair Circuit

  • 20 Squat Jacks

  • Stairs

  • 10 Push Up Jacks

  • Stairs

  • 20 Tricep Dips

  • Stairs

  • 10 Plank-In-Out-T-Crunch

  • Stairs

  • 20 Lunge Jump Pulses

  • Stairs

~1 Mile Run

Day 2: OFF

Day 3: 8 Mile Run

Day 4: Water Bottle Circuit Workout in my backyard

Repeat each circuit 2X before moving onto the next

Circuit 1:

  • 10 Power Clean

  • 12 Push Ups

  • 20 Star Jumps

  • 12 Plie Squat-Upright Row

  • 20 Lemon Squeezers

Circuit 2:

  • 10 Squats

  • 12 Power Push Ups

  • 20 Lunge Jumps

  • 12 Squat-Underhand Row

  • 20 Alternating V-Ups

Circuit 3:

  • 10 Deadlift

  • 12 Walking Push Ups

  • 20 Reverse Lunge-Pops

  • 12 Chest Press-Leg Lift

  • 20 Scissors

Circuit 4:

  • 10 Snatches

  • 12 Push Up-T

  • 20 Frogger Burpees

  • 12 Curl-Press-Tricep Skull Crusher

  • 20 Deadbugs

DAY 5: Fitness Class at one of my favorite gyms!

DAY 6: 4 Mile Run

DAY 7: 30 Minute AMRAP in my backyard

Repeat entire circuit as many times as possible in 30 minutes

  • 10 Squat Pulse-Tuck

  • 20 Plank-Knee Tap

  • 10 Burpee-Lunge Jumps

  • 20 Push Up-T

  • 10 Criss-Cross Reverse Tuck

  • 20 Side Plank-Hip Drops

  • 10 Frogger Jumps

  • 20 V-Ups

  • 10 One Leg Straight Leg Deadlift

  • 20 Russian Kicks

DAY 8: OFF

DAY 9: 5K Run FAST

DAY 10: OFF

The total roundup was 3 days of running, 4 days of HIIT/Circuit Training, and 3 days off in the midst of a chaotic schedule. And let me tell you, I was always a much happier person once I got my sweat on!
